your vermont destination wedding photographer - available for travel worldwide
Help - I've never booked a wedding photographer before and don't know where to start! What am I even supposed to ask you?
Easy enough. First of all, take a look at different wedding photographers' websites to see if their style matches what you're looking for. While we're on the question of style, I'm quite often asked what my "style" is. I always have a hard time explaining it ... it's what you see on this site. I don't do a lot of posed shots. Family portraits are the only photos that are truly posed - and I'm pleased to say that I've developed a process that makes formals fun and easy. Or as one mother of the groom once put it "Thank you for making this SO painless." For the portraits of the two of you, I don't pose. I direct. Like a movie. It's super fun and I promise you won't feel awkward. Chances are, you'll enjoy yourselves and will most likely even forget that there's a camera pointed at you
I love photographing details. And "epic" photos that show the big picture. The little moments in between. For the getting ready, ceremony and reception photos ... just forget that I'm there. I'll be anywhere and everywhere while being invisible at the same time. Just enjoy your day and have fun!

Ok, so we want you to photograph our wedding. How do we book you ?
Complete my snazzy little contact form to see if I'm still available on your wedding date. I will get back to you within a day and if I still have your wedding date available, we either meet in person or talk over the photo about what you have planend for your wedding.
If we then both decide that we’re the right fit for each other, I have some fun paperwork for you. Your wedding photography contract gives you in writing everything that will be included in your wedding photography package and what you can expect from Kingdom Wedding Photography by Kat..
You then complete the contract, return it with a 25% retainer and you can officially check "find weddng photographer' off your list. phew!
How long after the wedding until we get to see our wedding photos?
Within a couple of days after your wedding, you will see the first sneak peak of your wedding photos on Facebook and even more photos on the wedding photography blog. As you're enjoying your honeymoon, all your files will be lovingly processed and edited to look their very best. About 3-4 weeks after your wedding, an email with the subject line "Your wedding photos are here!! (or similar) will reach your inbox. Inside, you will find the link to your private online gallery where you (as well as your friends & family) can see all your wedding photos, select favorites, share them on Facebook and order prints. A few short days after that, your DVD with your full size, high resolution files on DVD & print release (along with prints/albums if included in your wedding package) will reach your doorstep.
We're not sure how many hours we need. or want you for. Can you help us?
Absolutely. I'd love to help you with your timeline. You want to think about if you want to see each other before the ceremony, if you want to take some of the portraits before the ceremony and instead spend cocktail hour with your guests, if you'd rather not see each other and do all the formals after the ceremony, if you want to do the formal dances a) at all b) before dinner c) after dinner, in short ... think about how you want your day to flow.
What about wedding albums - we might want to order one at a later point, is that possible?
Yes! Enjoy your honeymoon, settle into life as newlyweds and then select your favorite wedding photos and give me a call or send me an email once you're ready to sit down (either in person or via phone/email) and discuss the design and layout of your custom wedding album.
Do you travel and is there a travel fee?
I love to travel! I photograph weddings in Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maine, New York as well as other parts of New England and the US. Travel to locations within 100 miles of Irasburg, Vermont is included in all wedding package rates. I'm more than happy to travel to the location of your choice - simple inquire about destination wedding photography.
We're planning a Vermont Destination Wedding and won't be able to meet with you for another couple of months - now what?
If you would like to secure me as your Vermont wedding photographer for your wedding date without having to drive or fly up here ("up here" being Albany, Vermont), just give me a phone call at (802) 673-1060 so we can talk, exchange ideas and see if we're on the same page (wow, long sentence, even for me!). I will email you the contract, you return it along with a 25% retainer and you'll have one less thing to worry about and one more thing to be excited about. We can always do the in person consultation once you are in the area at a later point. Actually, the majority of my couples are "out-of-staters" and it's not uncommon for us to officially meet each other on the actual wedding day. And it always feels like seeing friends you haven't seen in a long time.
Do you have insurance?
Yep. Never hire anybody who can't provide you with proof of insurance.
How long have you been a wedding photographer?
Since I was about 20.
Any other questions? Just let me know. I'm looking forward to talking to you!
