The album was Slippery When Wet, the band was Bon Jovi, and I was in love. My grand master plan was to perfect my English, move to the US (I was born and raised in Germany) and marry Jon Bon Jovi. This plan was utterly derailed by him marrying somebody ELSE! Teenage Me was CRUSHed! I focused on my other love, photography, and learned everything I possibly could. From that point on, there's hardly any picture of me not holding a camera.
Fast forward to 2001 when I was invited to teach and study at USC. I was so excited - I'd be living and learning in Los Angeles, one of my favorite places! When I wasn't exploring the city on my trusted bike, I photographed movie premiers, actors and did still photography on movie sets.
That's how I met my husband Damian, who was starring in one of the movies I worked on. The rest, as they say, is history - we fell in love, got married and started building our family.
Our careers lead us to the East Coast where we fell in love with the Northeast Kingdom. We purchased our home and that's how somebody from the small town of Witten, Germany ended up in the even smaller town of Albany, Vermont. Apart from us loving the area, one could not wish for a more beautiful landscape for weddings. After years of constantly being on the move - we're definitely home for good.
